about

Wolverhampton alt rock / emo band Dearist have released their latest single, and it's a free download via Close to Home!

Formed in the sleepy midland city of Wolverhampton, Dearist started out as a studio side project for Kyoto Drive's Adam Binder, quickly becoming his main focus. In 2015, the band teamed up with Close to Home to bring you their debut album, This House Has No Windows, presenting a British take on the sounds akin to American pioneers Fugazi, Rival Schools and Thursday.

Now, fresh off their recent UK Tour with Pushing Daises, we are excited to bring you Dearist’s latest offering in the form of Shame.

“We actually created the artwork for the single first. Lee had been playing around with double exposure and layering photos which lead us to applying the same effects to the video to match. No real narrative to it, just consistency from artwork to video of "Who's that girl?", a bit of mystery! We wanted something weird!" – Jimmy Taylor, Drums
